Very happy with the final result of the bookmarks, however the online template needs work. It doesn’t match the specifications if you prepare your artwork in advance.

Response from Vistaprint Customer Care Team:

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad to hear that you are very happy with how your bookmarks turned out. We appreciate you bringing up the template setup. To clarify, our downloadable templates are pre-set specifically to meet our printing equipment requirements. Because of this, artwork needs to be adjusted to match our product template specifications rather than adjusting the templates to fit pre-made artwork. To make this process as smooth as possible for future orders, we recommend downloading the official product template directly from the bookmark product page under the Specs & Templates section. Using these templates from the start ensures your dimensions, bleed, and safe zones align perfectly with our production setup. That said, we hear your feedback loud and clear and are continuously looking for ways to improve our online experience and make template setup more intuitive for our customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our custom bookmarks are printed onto 400 or 280 gsm paper. We offer 3 different paper stock options: matte (400 gsm), glossy (400 gsm) or linen (280 gsm). The reverse of our matte and glossy bookmarks have a silky back.

Bookmarks are especially strong marketing options for businesses or organisations with a literary focus – bookshops, libraries, schools and more – but can help boost business for other businesses, too. They’re easy to use and reuse, book after book – which means your business information could be visible for years at a time. If you know your audience includes people who like to read, they’re a budget-friendly option to consider – you can keep a stack of bookmarks on your shop countertop or give one away with every purchase.

We recommend you keep your message simple and clear – keeping the front of your design focused on your business name, logo and a key piece of information – your address, phone number or website URL. With our 2-sided design options, you’ll have plenty of room to include extra information on the back – upcoming event lists, customer testimonials or a special offer.
