Frequently Asked Questions
Flat menus are unfolded sheets of paper, with customisable front and reverse sides. These are popular among food trucks and restaurants with a limited selection of dishes (or a special collection of daily specials). Bi-fold, (or half fold) is a sheet folded directly in half. Folded in just one place, it divides the menu into 2 parts making it a popular choice for classic restaurant menus.
Tri-fold menus are folded into thirds, creating 6 separate panels that can be customised. We’ve found that restaurants with larger menus prefer tri-folds, as well as businesses that like to provide additional information, such as images, maps and reviews.
Z-fold menus have 6 pages just like tri-folds, but have a different way of folding. They are sometimes referred to as accordion or zig zag menus. The panel that would fold to the inside on a tri-fold menu folds to the outside back instead of inwards, forming a Z shape.
If your menu includes photography, glossy paper is an especially strong option, as the gloss helps photos pop off the paper. Matte paper is glare-free, making it a great option for text-heavy menus. We also offer a lightly textured recycled paper that works well for high-contrast designs.
Please note that some stocks are only offered with certain fold styles.

Absolutely not. We’ll fold your menus for you before we send them out – they’ll arrive pre-folded and ready for use.
